Lamb for St AndrewsPosted on: November 12, 2020, by : Abbey Thomson
Move aside haggis! A campaign has been launched to name lamb as Scotland’s national dish for St. Andrew’s day on the 30th of November.
NFU Scotland, the Institute of Auctioneers and Appraisers and NSA Scotland will be working together to make this happen.
While restrictions mean that a public event would not be safe, the campaign is instead encouraging people to make lamb at home for their St. Andrew’s Day special. They are also encouraging organisations, schools and workplaces to offer lamb on St. Andrew’s Day.
The Usual Place will be participating in this campaign by having a week of lamb specials running up to St Andrews Day, from the 23rd November, which will be used as an opportunity for our young people to learn about cooking with lamb!
We hope to see all of our customers joining in as well!
