Assistance Dogs at The Usual Place

Assistance Dogs Policy: We only allow assistance dogs in the cafe. As a specialist training cafe we have young people with additional support needs who may not be able to navigate animals on the floor space for a number of reasons.

If you see dogs in our cafe they will have a specific role and are authorised as Assistance Dogs. Last week, we were delighted to have a pre-arranged visit from Guide Dogs for the Blind Volunteers and their Guide Dog Puppies (all very wet from the weather) visited your venue.

Everyone was so delighted by the warm welcome and professional service over lunch. Food was lovely and well received too.

Despite the awful weather on Tuesday, everyone had a lovely time walking their pups around town for National Pup Day, the highlight and rounded off day was certain The Usual Place.
If anyone is interested in joining Guide Dogs as a Volunteer, please go to their Guide Dogs Website www.guidedogs.org.uk where you will find a section on Volunteering with all the information on how to get involved and apply.
