We are so proud of Harry, who has completed his training at The Usual Place and is moving on to further education computer course. We are also very pleased that Harry will still be part of The Usual Place team as he is also about to start an internship to work on our digital data and storytelling as part of a project to better understand the impact of our work on the lives of young people with additional needs in Dumfries & Galloway.
To mark the end of his training in the cafe, one of our mentors, Sarah, presented Harry with his certificate. He has been such a great part of the team for 10 months and as well as learning customer service skills, working in the kitchen and learning about food health and safety, Harry has been part of our events teams, has spoken in ‘fireside chats’ for a range of business and organisations and was one of the lead hosts at the recent visit from The First Minister for Scotland.
Thank you Harry. You have been a reliable and enthusiastic team member, we have enjoyed seeing you grow in confidence, and it’s fantastic that you are now ready to move on to further your education and training in the field you love – computers!
Wish you all the best for your college course and can’t wait for you to get started on your internship with us too.
