Skye is hard at work in the Cairndale Hotel using all the hospitality skills she gained in The Usual Place. Enabled by Tina, Mentor from The Usual Place, Skye has quickly found her feet.

Skye worked in Alpha Solway, blazing a trail for disabled young people even featuring in a film about her journey, until unfortunately the factory closed in Dumfries.

Redundancy is a huge challenge for anyone to face, so it’s great to see Skye loving her new role in The Baraccuda Club in the Cairndale Hotel, where the whole team has been really supportive.

Skye’s now has experience of working in different places and building up lots of different skills opening up lots of opportunities for Skye to progress in any employment.
