The Usual Place would like to thank the Lord-Lieutenants for the beautiful card that they have recently sent us!

We received a card from Lord-Lieutenants Aileen Brewis, Patsy Gilroy and Fiona Armstrong.  This was sent to local businesses in praise of community resilience, innovation, collaboration and selflessness during extraordinary and challenging times.

Our hand-written message, from Dumfries’ Lord-Lieutenant Fiona Armstrong, said:

“Well done on surviving and re-opening!  A community’s grateful thanks to you all!”

The Lord-Lieutenant’s represent Her Majesty The Queen in Dumfries and Galloway, and celebrates the significant achievement in the public, private and voluntary sectors.  They work to promote Dumfries and Galloway and help it become a better place in which to live and work.

We are proud of how well our staff, trainees and volunteers have done throughout lockdown, and while adapting to the new normal.
